Auto Vent Replacement Cylinder

Replacement cylinder for automatic vent openers. Refresh your vent openers without replacing the entire mechanism.

Compatible with all Winter Gardenz greenhouse cylinders and many other models.

1-Year Warranty

Note: Includes the black replacement cylinder only—not the complete mechanism.

These cylinders operate on a wax-based mechanism (no electricity required). The wax gradually wears down, so the cylinder typically lasts 1–2 years. Extend lifespan by unscrewing it during winter when vents remain closed. Not recommended for coastal or beach-front locations due to harsh conditions.

Troubleshooting: If the vent isn’t closing, ensure it’s not catching on roof ribs beside the vent opening. Strong winds can shift the vent along the ridge—simply slide it back into the center channel. At temperatures above 17°C (63°F), the cylinder is designed to open, so temporarily disengage it to test full closure.

How Do I Place an Order?

Are Your Greenhouses Made in New Zealand?

Yes! Our greenhouses are made in our factory in Kumeu and are Certified New Zealand Made. Designed for local conditions, they offer durability, support, and peace of mind.

Do I Need Consent?

Most kitset greenhouses don’t require consent if under 30 square metres. Larger models or public installations may require documentation, which we can help provide.

Kitset Greenhouse Delivery

Greenhouses are shipped to the nearest Mainfreight depot due to weight. You’ll need a trailer to collect them, and the depot will forklift the crate onto it.

What Tools Do I Need for Assembly?

  • Cordless impact driver (with supplied 10mm nut setter/socket)
  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Set square, spirit level, tape measure
  • Scissors or sharp knife
  • Bucket of warm soapy water (helps with rubber beading)

How Difficult Is Assembly?
