8-pot Auto pot System

Autopots are a great hassle-free way to grow veges in your greenhouse. The concept is pretty simple, they are 2 or more pots connected by a small hose to a watering tank. Once hooked up, you then partially fill the pots with a growing medium like perlite/vermiculite mix or clay balls. You then pot your young plant in the middle (soil and all), gently placing the roots into the medium, and fill in the rest of the pot with more growing medium to support the young plant.

The smart valve in the autopot detects when the water level falls below a certain level, and opens accordingly. So the plants get just enough water. The nutrients are added to the water tank, so the plants get a steady flow of nutrients as they are growing. The tank should sit higher than the autopots for water flow (it works on gravity, not electricity).

If your valves don't seem to be filling up, check for a clogged tube, and clear out with a small wire that will fit inside the tube. If your tank lid isn't fitting properly (sometimes they can get bent out of shape in the elements if left off the tank) then simply sumberse it in very hot water, then put it back on the tank and it should re-form to it's correct shape.
